Tourism as a vital for many countries like Ethiopia; due to large in take many for business with their goods and service, employment opportunity in the service industry associated with tourism Ethiopia. Tourism is the act of total and visiting place; independent from purpose. It includes the land of queen Sheba, the origin of Blue Nile regarded as cradle of mankind. The country stands among the country of the global which possess great and unique tourist attraction and resources. This study focuses on the effect of tourism sector on the revenue generation in Nekemte town. The study would use quantitative research methods, and take the entire population as a sample. We use expanded and explanatory variable in econometric model in order to have clear picture of the effect of tourism sector to revenue generation in the regard of OLS estimation. Our analysis of data based on strata results show that revenue of domestic, foreign, and student tourists are positively related to total revenue generated and employment, domestic, foreign and students numbers negatively related to the total revenue generated.
