Internet use for recruitment is not new, since several years the use of e-recruitment has become familiar among job seekers and employers. The problem associates to the study; there is a lack of evidence to show the perception and satisfaction level of job seekers in social media recruitment. Therefore this paper aimed to examine the perception and satisfaction level of job seekers towards social media. For this, the study collects the data from job seekers through random sampling. A number of surveys was conducted in Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook user community of job seekers by transmitting the electronic questionnaires and then collects the required information. The study collected the data from 124 samples as sample size. Questionnaires are having both close-ended and open-ended questions. Secondary data are gathered from various websites, journals, publications etc. and they have been largely used to reinforce the analysis method. Correlation, regression and frequency tests were carried out to prove the study objectives. To examine the survey, the researcher uses the Statistics Package for Social Science Software (SPSS) tool for analysis. Findings show that the majority of the age group of people of around 20–29 years uses social media for job seeking than other age groups. LinkedIn is highest professional networks preferred by job seekers because of the great way of connection and easy networking.
