Abstract

Uyghur folktales are oral literary works created and disseminated by laboring people in the form of fiction. As a crucial part of the people’s spiritual life, folktales is one of important ways for people to exchange information, communicate ideas, express emotions and ideals, and preserve culture. Throughout a lasting process of human production and living activities, folktales has become a part of Uygur life, fulfilling the spiritual needs of the people and revealing the details of their lives. This paper mainly analyzes the relevant wedding customs in Uygur folktales to illustrate that the infiltration of Uyghur national traditional culture in folktales is a collective unconscious manifestation of an art form created by folktales.
