Abstract

True entrepreneurs are resourceful, passionate and driven to succeed. They’re pioneers and are comfortable fighting on the frontline. An entrepreneur can be regarded as a person who has the initiative, skill and motivation to set up a business or an enterprise of his own and who always looks for high achievement. Entrepreneurs look for opportunities, identifies them and seizes them mainly for economic gains. An entrepreneur is a person who is able to express and execute the urge, skill; motivation and innovative ability to establish a business or industry of his own either alone or in collaboration with his friends.

But in today’sscenario there are many intrapersonal challenges faced by entrepreneurs. In addition to this the other challenges includes; developing vision, ideas, raising capital, assembling team, right location, right employees, good customers, overcoming competition, unforeseen challenges and expenses, industrial changes and trends and exiting the business.

The base for this study is primary as well as secondary sources of data. Information will be collected from the 35 Entrepreneurs located in PuneCity, through structured questionnaires and personal interviews. Along with this extensive literature review is also a foundation for this research process. Business profile of all these respondents and the top and the most common challenges will be identified then these challenges will be divided into four phases of the business life cycle. Common challenges from all the stages of the business life cycle will be identified for findings and conclusion of the study.
