Abstract

A population level of 1000 T. vulgaris and above per kg. of soil was found to affect plant growth significantly. The total number of nematode multiplication was highest at 10,000 inoculum level but the maximum rate of multiplication was at the 10 inoculum level. The plant growth was significantly reduced when inoculated with the combination of T. vulgaris and P. zeae or T. vulgaris and F. moniliforme than when either of the organisms were alone. The nematode multiplication was not significantly affected in the presence of either of the organisms but the total nematode population build up was affected in the preseuce of either of the organisms.
