An interaction between Pythium myriotylum and Meloidogyne incognito on ginger resulted in fungal antagonism against the nematode in the rhizosphere, though the infection by the fungus and infestation by the nematode, existing concomittantly, did not affect the disease syndrome. Amendments of soil by application of cakes did not result in control of either of the pathogens.
