Amphibelondira gen. n. is described and illustrated. The new genus is closely related to Belondira Thorne, 1939; Belondirella Thorne, 1964 and Anchobelondira Nair & Coomans, 1971 and is characterized by having a non-constricted oesophageal expansion, an amphidelphic gonad and the absence of ventromedian supplements in male.
