Rotylenchoides whiteheadi sp. n. (Nematoda: Hoplolaimidae)
Abstract
Rotylenchoides whiteheadi sp. n. is described and illustrated. It is distinctive by having small spear, distinct cephalids, oesophageal glands in long lobes with dorsal lobe being longer than the ventral one, small post-uterine sac instead of reduced posterior gonad, absence of post-anal intestinal sac and tail dorsally convex with rounded terminus. Rotylenchoides is considered as a valid genus, and five species (R. affinis, R. brevis, R. impar, R. variocaudatus and R. whiteheadi sp. n.) are recognized under this genus.
