Preliminary studies on the effect of solarisation on phytonematodes of betelvine
Abstract
Preliminary studies with white polythene mulching on beds prepared for planting betel vine (Piper betle L.) 15 days before planting seeds of agathi (Seabania sp.), the common shade crop for betelvlne, revealed high reduction in nematode populations. White polythene sheet covering increased soil temperature to 44.1"C.
