Incorporation of chopped shoots of latex bearing plants significantly suppressed the population build-up of Rotylenchulus reniformis and Tylenchorhynchus brassicae and reduced the root-knot development caused by Meloidogyne incognita. Chopped shoots of Ficus elastica gave greatest reduction in nematode population and root-knot development. These amendments also showed significant improvement in plant growth highest being in the treatment with chopped shoots of F. elastica.
