Abstract

Pot culture studies were conducted to find out the effect of nematicides (aldicarb, carbofuran, ethoprophos, UC-54229) oilicakes (neem, karanj, polang) and urea, singly and in combinations, against the reniform nematode, Rotylenchulus reniformis infecting okra cultivar Pusa Sawani. Application of aldicarb (1 kg a.i./ha) + neem oilcake (0.5 ton/ha) followed by carbofuran (1 kg a.i./ha) + neem oilcake (0.5 ton/ha) proved most effective in reducing the nematode population and increasing growth of the plants.
