Comparative field efficacy and economics of certain pesticides in the management ofthe populations of burrowing nematode, Radopholus simills on banana
Abstract
Four chemicals, prophos 10G at 12 g per plant, carbofuran 3G at 40 g per plant, phorate 10G at 12 g per plant and dacamox 5G at 24 g per plant, were tested for their efficacy against the burrowing nematode, Radopholus similis, in a field trial. The chemicals were effective in minimising the nematode population, both in soil and the roots.
