Second stage larvae of Heterodera zeae were exposed to 10 μg/ml concentrations of aldicarb, carbofuran, oxamyl or phenamiphos for 6 hrs. Mini mum penetration of less than 2 per cent was recorded with carbofuran exposure as compared to over 30 per cent in check. Penetration in case of aldicarb and phenamiphos treatments was about 16 per cent. Subsequent development of the penetrated larvae was however found to be unaffected except for slower develop ment in carbofuran treatment.
