Abstract

Four nematicides viz—carbofuran, aldoxycarb, carbosulfan and triazophos each at 0, 0.5, 1 and 2 per cent on weight basis were tested as seed coating of french bean for control of Meloidogyne incognita under pot condition. Significant reduction of nematode penetration in all chemical treatments was recorded as compared to untreated plants. Triazophos was found most effective in preventing the penetration as well as delayed development of nematode. Seed treatment was found to improve plant growth of french bean to certain extent over inoculated check but did not come to the level of uninoculated check.
