Abstract

Populations of plant parasitic and nonparasitic nematodes were estimated from an All India Coordinated Project on Long Term Fertilizer Experiment carried out at Barrackpore, India, in a fixed lay out having a well accepted rotation of jute-rice-wheat during 16th and 27th cropping cycles. Generally, none of the graded NPK doses (0, 50, 100 and 150 per cent) resulted in statistically significant reduction in nematode populations as compared to control plots. The sources of different organic and inorganic fertilizers had no visible influence on their populations.
