Influence of temperature, moisture, hydrogen peroxide and rice root exudates on emergence of Aphelenchoides besseyi from infected rice seeds was investigated. Maximum emergence was recorded at 30°C. Alternate wetting and drying gave slightly higher emergence of nematodes. Hydrogen peroxide at all concentrations stimulated emergence while root exudates of only four days old seedlings influenced rate of emergence of nematodes.
