Twenty five accessions of chickpea (Cicer arietinum) were screened for their reaction to Meloidogyne incognita. There was significant loss in plant weight in most of the test accessions of chickpea due to the root-knot nematode. Accession GL-83119 showed minimum reduction in plant weight as well as die development, hence it can be categorifed as resistant accession. Other accessions showed varying degree of susceptibility.
