The pathogenic potential of Radopholus similis on betel vine was studied using different inoculum levels viz., 0, 10, 100 and 1000. The economic damage threshold level was 100 nematodes in 2500 cm3 fumigated sandy loam soil which caused 38.67 per cent reduction in the number of leaves produced Maximum damage was encountered in plants that received 1000 nematodes per plant. Rotting of roots was observed at all inoculum levels.
