Description of a new gall forming nematode, Subanguina minuta sp.n., from Haryana, India

Abstract

A new species of Subanguina forming minute yellow-txown galls (0.231–0.354 x 0.200–0.460mm) is described from Haryana, India. S. minuta sp. n. Females-L = 0.502–0.630 mm, a=14–20, b=4.7–6.4, c= 9–14, V= 76–84, stylet = 8 μm; Males-L= 0.419–0.470 mm, spicules= 14–18 μm; Second stage (infective) juveniles-L = 0.301–0.350 mm, tail long, filiform, c = 9.9–11.8. The new species is readily distinguisbale from other known species in being smaller and in having small-sized spicules.
