Abstract

Optimum soil moisture required for the development of H. cajani ranged between 35 to 45 per cent. Maximum number of cysts and final nematode population was observed at 45 per cent soil moisture level but maximum plant growth was observed at 35 per cent moisture level. Number of cysts and final nematode population was recorded maximum, when plants were irrigated twice in twenty four hours. Declining in cyst and final nematode population was observed when plants were watered once in twenty four hours and once in forty eights hours.
