Management approaches for root knot nematode in pointed gourd

An assessment was made on the effect of some management practices on root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita, in pointed gourd. Integrated approaches, with or without inclusion of minimal synthetic chemical and with inclusion of neem components like leaf, cake and azadirachtin, were highly effective in checking the population build up and infection of the nematode. The eco-friendly integrated treatments recorded a very low final nematode population and sponsored good yield.
