Induction of systemic resistance by salicylic acid, rose bengal and giberrellic acid in tomato against root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita was studied under glass house conditions. The results of SA spray @ 100 ug/ml decreased galling in roots of nematode infested tomato significantly when compared to inoculated control. The per cent increase in root and shoot weight as well as root and shoot length was also highest in the plants sprayed with SA @ 100 g/ml, whether inoculated simultaneously or after 24 h of spray.
