Abstract

An experiment was conducted under glass house conditions to establish the optimum dose of the fungus, Paecilomyces lilacinus against Meloidogyne incognita in tomato. The fungal suspension was inoculated a 1x 106, 2x 106, 3x 106, 4x 106, 5x 106, 6x 106, 7x 106 and 8x 106 spores per 3 kg soil. Four ml of fungal suspension (8x 106 spores) of P. lilacinus per 3 kg soil was found to be the optimum dose for effective reduction of M. incognita population in soil, egg masses and number of galls and increased the plant growth parameters.
