Abstract

Two new species of Mononchida, Actus conoidus n.sp. and Cobbonchus subcaudatus n.sp. are described and illustrated. Actus conoidus n.sp. was characterized by having L=1.21–1.39mm; a = 31.1–36.2; b = 4.1–4.5; c = 20.4–23.8; V = 59.0–61.7; c’ = 2.4–2.6; buccal cavity = 20.8–22.4x9.6–11.2 m, and more number of sub ventral teeth. Cobbonchus subcaudatus n.sp. had L = 1.00–1.23mm; a = 36.3–48.0; b = 2.8–3.3; c = 38.3–48.0; V=65.5–73.8; c’ = 1.2–1.3 in females; and L= 1.21–1.37mm; a = 40.0–47.8; b = 3.18–3.6; c = 36.2–43.0; T = 45.2–46.9; c’ = 1.31–1.33 in males. C. subcaudatus n.sp. was distinct in having longer buccal cavity, higher position of dorsal tooth, longer tail and more number of supplements.
