Six crop rotation sequences were tested for their efficacy to reduce the incidence of root knot and wilt disease complex on jute in a naturally infested field. It was observed that the incidence of the disease complex on final jute crop was more when the preceding crop was brinjal or tomato. Two sequences viz. jute-fallow-mustard-jute and jute-fallow-wheat-jute were found equally effective in reducing the root-knot and wilt disease complex and increasing the fiber yield of jute.
