Abstract

Xenocriconemella pruni sp.n from Himachal Pradesh and X. pini sp.n. from Bhutan, are described and illustrated. Xenocriconemella pruni sp.n. is distinctive by having 106–120 retrose body annules, continuous lip region with one distinct head annule, long flexible stylet measuring 72–96 m and occupying 27–35 per cent of body length, hemizonid and excretory pore distinct, located almost opposite to the spear knobs, at a distance 72–76 m from anterior end, vulva simple and closed, anus distinct located at 4th annule posterior to vulva, tail conoid, narrows gradually to finely annulated pointed terminus. X. pini sp.n. is distinctive by having 108–111 retrose body annules and two distinct head annules, frequent anastomosis in median and post vulval regions, flexible and long stylet measuring 93–103 m i.e 31.6–37.2 per cent of body length, hemizonid and excretory pore not distinct, vulva simple, closed with small vulval lips, anus obscure and conoid tail with blunt and annulated terminus.
