Efficacy of chloroform methanol extracts of ten different medicinal plants against eggs and second stage juveniles of Meloidogyne incognita were tested in laboratory conditions. Egg hatching was maximum in control, although among the ten medicinal plants, chloroform methanol extracts obtained from Andrographis paniculata shows most inhibitory effect followed by Melia azedarach extracts. Likewise, in terms of larval mortality also A. paniculata oil extracts was observed most inhibitory effect followed by oil extracts of M. azedarach. Larval mortality was directly proportional with exposure period and concentration of extracts whereas egg hatching was inversely proportional with concentration of extracts and directly with exposure period.
