A New Species of Hemicycliophora (Nematoda: Tylenchida) from Pine Forest of Manipur, India

Abstract

Hemicycliophora dhanachandi sp. n. is described from rhizosphere of pine, Pinus roxburghii Sarg. from Leimaram, Manipur (India). The new species is characterized by having an abruptly bent ovary near vagina that again outstretches anteriorly, in the presence of an abrupt depression of the cuticular sheath in the post vulval region; robust spicules which is sickle – shaped and in having males with tail longer than that of the females.
