Management of Reniform Nematode, Rotylenchulus reniformis on Okra Hybrid by Organic Amendments

Abstract

Soil application of organic amendments viz., vermicompost @ 25 and 50 g/kg, neem cake @ 5 and 10 g/kg, castor cake @ 5 and 10 g/kg, groundnut cake @ 5 and 10 g/kg, sunflower cake @ 5 and 10 g/kg and FYM @ 50 and 100 9- kg of soil significantly reduced nematode population and increased the plant growth compared to inoculated control. Neem cake @ 10 g- kg of soil was found effective in reducing nematode population and increasing overall plant growth.
