Abstract

An extensive survey was carried out for the infestation of root-knot nematodes associated with okra growing fields of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Total 227 soil and root samples from the okra fields were collected (OSS-1 to OSS-227) from 32 different locations (16 villages) to identify the hot spot of root-knot nematodes. Results revealed that incidence of root-knot disease were found 55.9% in okra. Beraunji, Basahra, Mansoorabad and Urua villages were found the most infected areas growing okra crop.
