The successful implementation of entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN) in the families Steinernematidae and Heterorhabditidae against soil inhabiting insects is due to their ease of culture. Mass multiplication of S. carpocapsae was studied (in vitro) on different artificial media i.e., Wout's, Modified egg yolk and Egg yolk media. Out of these highest (25.88) lakhs IJs were obtained from Wout's media followed by modified egg yolk (20.78) lakhs and Egg yolk (0.91) lakhs media. It was observed that S. carpocapsae multiplied on both animals as well as plant protein based media.
