Three Known Species of Hoplolaimus Nematode found Associated with Perennial Ornamentals in and Around Udaipur

An intensive survey was carried out in different localities of Udaipur district (Rajasthan) for the presence of Hoplolaimus nematode associated with perennial ornamentals. Three known species of Hoplolaimus daday, 1905 were encountered from the rhizosphere of ornamentals, which have been identify and compared with the original description of the species. Hoplolaimus tylenchiformis was slightly longer in body length, spicules length, and ‘b’ ratio. However, lower in ‘c’ ratio, vulval position and having short stylet length. Hoplolaimus indicus populations had slightly longer stylet length, ‘a’ ratio, b’ ratio and ‘c’ ratio, but lower in ‘b’ ratio and vulval position, while Hoplolaimus columbus was slightly longer in ‘a’ ratio, b’ ratio and ‘c’ ratio, but smaller in ‘b’ ratio, and short stylet length when compared with original description of the species.
