Under protected cultivation, plant parasitic nematodes in general and root knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) in particular have become a serious threat for crop production. Soil fumigation with metham sodium alone and in combination with neem cake enriched with bioagents such as Paecilomyces lilacinus or Pseudomonas fluorescence has been found effective against root knot nematode infecting tomato, capsicum and carnation under AICRP (Nematodes).
