Abstract

Nematodes and their disease complex are reported to be responsible for considerable shrinkage under the area of crossandra cultivation in Tamil Nadu. Experiments were conducted on crossandra with the aim of evolving suitable technology to minimize nematode-fungal disease complex in order to maximize the flower production. The results of the experiments revealed that the use of Trichoderma viride available commercially as talc formulation with Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore is effective for the management of nematode fungal disease complex involving Meloidogyne incognita and Fusarium oxysporum and to enhance the flower production of crossandra by 28 per cent.
