Abstract

Two new species of Fictor Paramonov, 1952 are described and illustrated herein. F. suptilis sp. n. was isolated from farmyard manure collected from Kashmir. F. longicauda sp. n. was isolated from decaying banana rhizome collected from Haldwani, Uttrakhand. F. suptilis sp. n. is characterized by a small body; wide lip region; long, ventrally arcuate, setose spicules; a slender gubernaculum with a fine extension proximally and a sleeve distally and eight pairs of setose genital papillae. F. longicauda sp. n. is characterised by a medium-sized body; presence of several warts on the gymnostomal walls; left subventral stegostomal wall with serrated margin divisible into two plates; gubernaculum broad with a fine, hook-like extension proximally and a sleeve distally and nine pairs of genital papillae: two pre-and seven postcloacal.
