An attempt was made to study the in vitro effect of standard concentration of aqueous neem leaf extract, neem seed extract, 2.5% carbofuradan 3-G, cell pelleted residues of Bacillus thuringiensis on egg hatching of Meloidogyne incognita. In vitro effect of cell pelleted residues (1.1X 109 CFU/ml) + standard concentration of aqueous neem leaf extract, cell pelleted residues + neem seed extract and cell pelleted residues on egg hatching after 1 h, 6 h, 12 h exposure were the most effective treatments and caused no egg hatching as compared to the water control. 12 h treated eggs with cell pelleted residues + neem leaf extract, cell pelleted residues + neem seed extract and cell pelleted residues showed no egg hatching in distilled water after 24 h incubation as compared to the water control and were at par with carbofuradan 3-G. After 72 h exposure egg hatching inhibition with cell pelleted residues + neem leaf extract, neem seed extract, cell pelleted residues, carbofuradan 3-G and cell pelleted residues + neem seed extract was at par and were equally effective.
