Abstract

Rice root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne graminicola is one of the most limiting factors in rice production, and efforts were made, to know the efficacy of bio-agents such as Trichoderma harzianum, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonasfluorescens, Pochonia chlamydosporia, Consortium of bio-agents (Pseudomonas fluorescens + Trichoderma harzianum) in comparision with chemical pesticides Carbofuran 3G@0.3 a.i for the management of rice root-knot nematode Meloidogyne graminicola. The present study was under taken in three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019 in rice fields of Karnal district of Haryana state in farmer's participatory mode with regular monitoring. The results revealed that all the treatments were significantly better in terms of growth parameters, yield, and reduction of nematode population over the natural management/check. The consortium of bio-control agents, P. fluorescens@20gm/sq.m+ T. harzianum @ 20g/sq. m was reported to be one of the best treatments.
