Abstract

Recent developments in Lapping process have opened up new avenues for finishing of hard and brittle materials with nano surface finish, high tolerance and accuracy. By using all the properties of multi wall carbon nanotube is used in lapping process to analysis the surface characteristics like surface roughness and super finishing characteristics in AISI D3 tool steel work piece materials which is very much used in moulds and dies. The surface finishing of work piece can be increase to nano level.
