In this fast moving world phones and its uses is an unavoidable part of life. Information and communication technology is continuous to expand the boundaries of higher education in to any time anywhere experience. Cell phones are becoming common place in everyone's life. As the years go by, human life is also changing constantly, mobile phone were previously seen only among few high class people then slowly now even the average or a common man on street like to have cell phone. The wide range of mobile phones has both positive and negative impact on the life in all dimensions. Over use of mobile phones can affect social and psychological well being and health.1
An evaluative research approach with quasi-experimental Pretest and Posttest control group design adopted. The study includes 50 health care workers including staff nurses who were selected as sample by non probability purposive sampling technique. The study was conducted in selected hospitals of Kolhapur. Demographic data, structured knowledge and Structured Teaching Module (SIM) were implemented for data collection procedure. Pilot study was done for its clarity and feasibility on similar subject. To analyze the experimental data, statistical analysis was used. Demographic data of the health care workers were presented in graphs.
A quasi experimental study is used sample (n=50) consisted of health care worker working in selected hospitals of Kolhapur. Convenient sampling technique was utilized for collection of study sample. In order to collect the data on knowledge, a structured knowledge questionnaire on excessive mobile phone use and its adverse effect is carried out. Anonymity and confidentiality was maintained throughout study. The data gathered was analyzed and interpreted in terms of objectives at the end of study it is found that 90% participants scored good in questionnaire, 10%scored average and 0% scored poor.
