Attitudes, Knowledge, Utilization and Identify the Problems in Integrating Complementary and Alternative Therapies with Conventional Medicine among Nurses

Abstract

The present study was conducted to examine the attitudes, knowledge, utilization and identify the problems in integrating complementary and alternative therapies with conventional medicine among nurses working in selected hospitals at Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. The study participants constituted of Staff Nurses working in J.L.N.H&R.C. Bhilai Chhatisgarh, India. Majority of nurses have favourable attitude towards CAM and were in favour of provision of regular Institutionalized CAM services This study provides some preliminary findings that may lead to further exploration of healthcare professional's attitudes towards CAM and participants felt a need for integrating it into mainstream medicine.
