Knowledge and Practice Regarding Antenatal Diet among Primi Mothers at Ganga Charan Hospital Bareilly (U.P)

Abstract

A good intake and optimum maternal nutrition is essential for a pregnant women.1Antenatal diet is a base line to establish a healthy pregnancy and a healthy coming new born. Prenatal diet plays an important role to grow the fetus properly as well as development. The statement of the problem is study to assess the knowledge as well as practice among primi mothers regarding antenatal diet. The objective of this study to evaluate the present knowledge and practice regarding antenatal diet and improve and imparting the Current healthy practices by pregnant woman that she can aware that what is beneficial or what can be harmful for her and baby. A descriptive study was conducted in Ganga Charan Hospital Bareilly among 60 primi mothers, They were selected randomly from the department of OBG (OPD) adopting the survey approach. The structured interview and questionnaire was conducted to assess the knowledge and form the checklist to assess the practices.
