Abstract

A study to assess the the level of learning adjustment behaviour among nursing students in selected college. Objectives of the study was (1) Toassess the level of learning adjustment behaviour among nursing students. (2) To find the association between the level of behaviour and selected demographic variables.

In the present study non exerimental design was adopted. The sample size of the study was 30 were selected by random sampling technique. The non-experimental was conducted using the questionnaires. The data was analysed and interpreted based on descriptive and inferential statistics. Paired ‘t’ test was used to find the effectiveness of teaching program and Chi-square test was used to find the association of learnung adjustment behaviour with selected demographic variables.

For the present study the significant findings were, 53% of them were in the age 19 years, 93% were female, about 78.0 % belonged to urban area, 90 % of participants are from nuclear family, 87%students have no previous experience in hostel,47% Educational qualification of fathers had SSLC,50% Educational qualification of mothers had higher studies. Learning adjustment behavior, the total mean is 36.2 and median is 36 and standard deviation is 4.05. Study data shows that 6 (20%) students has severe learning adjustment problem, 24(80%) students had moderate learning adjustment problem and none had mild learning adjustment. There was no association between knowledge and selected demographic variable.
