Abstract

The ‘goden fibre’, jute, needs a serious transformation of the image of traditional packaging material to eco-friendly value added diversified product. The global concern over the environmental issues has certainly created a vast unexplored goden opportunity for this ‘golden fibre’, jute. The present paper aimed to highlight the advantances and hurdles of the jute diversified products (JDPs), and strategies to solve the troubles. This paper focused to discuss the critical events associated with JDPs, so that the jute sector would be revitalized and ushered into a promising future.
