A 39 year old female patient with thyrotoxicosis was referred to nuclear medicine department for a radionuclide thyroid scanning procedure.
About 5 mCi of sodium pertechnetate was intravenously injected and after 20 min gap, scanning was carried out by Siemens single head gamma camera system.
Anterior, Zoom, both oblique images were obtained. The radiopharmaceuitcal was noted in the normal thyroid and thyroglossal duct and submandibular area.
The features and radionuclide scan photographs will be presented.
