Abstract

Study was conducted to find out the change in biochemical pathogen of banana plants in response to bract mosaic virus (BBrMV) infection. Native Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis carried isozyme analysis out using healthy as well as BBrmv infected sample for peroxidase (PO) and Poly Phenol Oxidase (PPO) enzyme. A single definite band of PO (Rm 0.63) was seen only in infected sample whereas thickness of the band with Rm 0.65 showed intensified production of PPO in BBrMV infected plants.
