Fields experiments were carried out at the Forage Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Agro meteorology and Forestry, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to find out the best sequence for higher green fodder production of good quality after berseem during 2002-03-2003-04. The highest green fodder and crude protein production was received from the bajra-bajra sequence followed by sorghum-bajra and bajra-sorghum. The magnitude of increase in green fodder and crude protein production of bajra-bajra sequence was 7.5, 27.8, 20.6, 7.1, 40.3, 14.7,26.4 and 4.7, 19.2, 15.1, 5.2, 28.5, 7.6, 9.3 per cent more than sorghum-bajra, sorghum-maize, bjara-maize, bajra-sorghum, maize-maize, malze-bajra and maize-sorghum, respectively. There is need the research trials should be continued to work out the fertilizer requirement of the different sequences for the high tonnage of green and good quality fodder.
