Abstract

Six isolates of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. gladioli were isolated from infected corms of gladiolus from different parts of Karnataka. Cultural and morphological variation was not much noticed among the isolates on potato dextrose agar. The isolates were fingerprinted using Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD). Genetic variation analysis and grouping of these isolates were done using cluster analysis (NTSYS). Two distinct lineages were observed. Only one isolate, Fog 6 (Bangalore isolate) was distinct and formed a separate group whereas all other isolates grouped in cluster B.
