Abstract

Since the Egyptian era began (3000 B.C.) prosthodontics has come a long way from placing ivory teeth as fixed prosthesis to giving vulcanite denture and finally the current technique of fabricating computerised crowns and digitalizing various procedures with high level of precision and accuracy. From the metallic crowns to all ceramics crowns, from wooden implants to the high grade Titanium implants, prosthodontics is looking forward to the future when prosthodontist will be able to replace a missing tooth with natural tooth by utilising stem cell technology.
