Local anesthesia is most commonly used in almost all dental treatment procedures. As chemical agent, local anesthesia can produce adverse effects on patients. Local anesthesia toxicity, vasoconstriction, methemoglobinemia along with mild allergic reaction to the administered dosage of local anesthesia are seen in patients. Signs and symptoms of the various adverse reactions associated with local anesthetics are quite distinctive, permitting rapid diagnosis and treatment.
