Trauma to anterior teeth in both the primary as well as the permanent dentition requires a quick assessment and appropriate management. Treatment of dental trauma is complex and requires acomprehensive and accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. It is also important to consider the biological, functional, esthetic and economic aspects, as well as the patient's desire. The treatment of a vertical crown-root fracture with ahorizontal root fracture of amaxillary right central incisor is presented. The root canal was treated with calcium hydroxide to induce healing at the fractured site. The subgingival coronal fragment was exposed performing gingivectomy with electrocauteryforthe aesthetic build up of the tooth.
